“A Prayer For Those In Pain”

June 15, 2017

Praying man Father, there are many kinds of pain that we will endure over our lifetime. Physical pain is prevalent in the average person and tells us when all is not right in our bodies.  We thank You, Father, for the built in warning signs that come from our nervous system. We may not like its painful message but it’s part of Your plan to protect us and a guide to others, such as parents of young children, caregivers, and medical personnel as they administer appropriate treatment for the painful symptoms we endure. We look forward to the day when sin will be no more and we will have no more pain due to disease, accidents, violence, abnormalities, or aging. Give us coping skills to endure pain and faith to believe that You are with us in the midst of our pain. In many instances You use it to get our attention and as an example to those looking on as to how we, as believers, deal with these undesirable circumstances. It’s for Your glory and our growth that even pain can be used to draw us nearer to You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
