“A Prayer Of Thanks For The Blessing Of Music”

August 6, 2018
Praying manFather, many of our praises and words of thanksgiving, prayers and petitions we musically present to You. Whether our hearts overflow with joy and thanksgiving or fill up with pain and sorrow, praise songs of rejoicing or songs written during one’s anguish begin to minister to our innermost needs. I’m so thankful that You, our loving Father, quiet us with Your love and rejoice over us with singing. The Psalmist declares that it is good for us to praise You, our Father, and to make music to Your name, O Most High. We are to proclaim Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night. Your presence awaits us in the early morning dawn and at the close of each day, for which we are eternally grateful. Amen.

“The Lord Your God is with You. He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in You, He will quiet You with His love, He will rejoice over You with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17).
