“A Prayer For Having The Simple Faith Of A Child”

March 19, 2014

Thankful manFather, as adults we tend to complicate matters and seek to understand that which is incomprehensible. We cannot fully grasp the Kingdom of God here on earth or that You would give Your only Son to die for us, and that by doing so, we can receive forgiveness of sins. These amazing truths are hard to grasp and often keep adults from receiving by faith all that You have for us. But Jesus gives us the example of children whose learning is very basic. They don’t yet know the why and wherefores of life at such an early age. But rather than Jesus instructing the children to first become like the disciples, as we would expect, He instructs the disciples to become like children. Father, help us to examine the characteristics of a child that bring You pleasure, that open our heart’s door for closer communion with You. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

This Daily Prayer is from this Daily Encouragement message.

“A Prayer Of Unconditional Faith”

August 15, 2013

Praying manFather, the dynamic story of the three Hebrew men speaks of Your miraculous deliverance for all ages and throughout all generations.  Their unyielding devotion to You is a tremendous model to those of us who call You our Father. It is by testing that we are strengthened and conformed into you likeness. Trials come upon us to produce perseverance, build character, and draw us closer to Jesus. They also enable us to help others in similar situations because of our own personal experience we have a greater sense of how to help and pray for them in their hour of need. We love You Father and want to be found faithful no matter the circumstance. We pray that we will have a “but if not” degree of faith. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“A Prayer Of Trust In God’s Faithful Promises”

November 13, 2012

Praying manFather, help us to meditate upon Your promises so that our faith is increased and our hope is renewed. When obstacles cloud our view that discourage or sway our trust in You, knowing Your thoroughly tested promises helps us to look beyond the natural and trust You for the supernatural.

” A Prayer For A Faith View”

March 30, 2012

Praying woman Father, help us to have the kind of faith prescribed in Hebrews 11:1 where “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” It is the kind of faith that is triumphant in the worst of circumstances because our faith in Christ is the victory that overcomes the world. We will not be overcome by life’s circumstances but we will overcome life’s circumstances by the blood of the Lamb. If we fully forsake this world, if we immerse ourselves in the Scriptures, and if we saturate our hearts in prayer, I believe we can experience a faith view of heaven that is nearly as real as a physical view of our home here on earth. Help us to pursue such a spiritual goal in Jesus’ name. Amen.

“A Prayer For Unwavering Commitment”

March 6, 2012

Praying man Father, help me to thirst and hunger for Your Living Word where I find convincing truths to assure me, “This is the way. Walk in it.” I want to keep my heart fixed upon You and my mind certain of Your truths in this age where false religions abound the broad way continues to widen. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and I gain entry to You, my Father, only through Jesus the Son. I’ve got a made up mind and I’m going to follow You during the good and the bad times, the lean and plentiful periods. Whether I stand with many or whether I stand alone, I choose to wholeheartedly follow You. In the name of Jesus I pray.  Amen.

Any given day we prepare these messages we are aware of heartache in the world. We especially consider the devastating tornadoes in the Midwest and are praying for the hurting families who are picking up the leftover pieces from what was once their home as well as those burying their loved ones. Our hearts go out to them as we lift our prayers to heaven on their behalf.

A Prayer For Faith In The Midst Of Trial”

Praying man Father help us to have the kind of faith prescribed in Hebrews 11:1 where “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”  It is the kind of faith that is triumphant in the worst of circumstances because our faith in Christ is the victory that overcomes the world.  We will not be overcome by life’s circumstances but we will overcome by the blood of the Lamb.  Praise God!  Amen.

“A Prayer For Faith”

July 13, 2011

Praying manFather, so much of what I need to do today and in the near future consumes my time and energy. The commitments and problems I face can easily crowd out the solemn moments that helps redirect my attention and focus upon the future You have planned for me. My soul is refreshed and my hope renewed when I consider that all of heaven with its splendor, majesty, absence of sin, and the presence of Jesus is mine to receive. You prepared it all and promised it as an inheritance for all who live by faith. Though my eyes cannot presently see, my heart believe by faith all that You have in store for those who are looking for the city which is yet to come, our eternal dwelling place.  Amen.

“A Prayer Of Faith”

April 29, 2011

Praying man Father, our faith is anchored in Your Son, Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who died on the cross of Calvary and was resurrected on the third day. The cross and empty tomb are symbolic of the Christian faith and without them our Christianity is in vain. We place our compete faith in the finished work of Christ and the inerrant Scriptures that make us wise unto salvation. Thank You for releasing us from sin’s effect – its guilt, power, condemnation and eternal damnation. Amen.

“A Prayer Of Faith In God”

January 5, 2011

Thankful manFather, help me to walk faithfully with You day by day.  As I earnestly seek You I will receive the reward You promise to those who do so. Daily temptations, recurring doubts, and fleeting distractions  seek my heart’s affection but I remain faithfully committed to You, my Lord and  Savior. Though I’ve not seen You physically Your Spirit indwells me and I am filled with Your glorious and inexpressible joy.  No matter the mocking and undermining of my faith by the unbelieving world, I believe in You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.  Amen.

“A Prayer Of Trust”

December 30, 2010

Thankful manFather, when I lean on my own understanding I fall prey to thinking in the natural and limit the work of the supernatural. But when I trust You with all my heart I leave no room for second guessing. Today I want to acknowledge Your presence in every area of my life…family, work, relationships, health, intellect and every other area of my life. You will bring to pass the plans You have for me as I wholeheartedly trust You for all that concerns me. Amen.
